derived for your marketing dollar with radio surpasses virtually
all other mediums. If you have never advertised on radio,
be prepared for a most pleasant surprise of just how affordable
it is. But more, you will connect with a greater segment
of the market by radio than any other form of advertising
today.
What's the Market?
The greater Los Angeles market attracts adults age range
25-54. According to Arbitron LA. Metro Cume Ratings, Winter
2002, the best time of day to advertise on radio is...all
day! The 5am-9am listeners comprise 81.1% of the market;
9am-4pm makes up 82.4 and 4m-8pm is strong at 77.3%.
On their web site in Spring 2003, The Southern California
Broadcasters Association reports: "Radio plays a bigger
part in people's lives in Los Angeles than it does in most
of the country. Where a 200, Bruskin/Audits report show that
93% of adults 18+ spend some time with TV on a daily basis,
only 75.6% of the Adults 18+ in Los Angeles are likely to
turn on a TV set on any given day. Conversely, an average
of 76.0% of all Adults 18+ in the U.S. usually listen to
radio everyday, while 82.1% of those who live in Los Angeles
do. The younger and the more upscale the person, the greater
the likelihood that radio, not TV, is the most reliable way
to reach someone living in Los Angeles on any given day." (www.scba.com)
SCBA also reports, "New Interep study indicates that
the percentage of U.S. population living in households with
annual income of $100,000 or more has increased from 13 to
16% over the past year, and the number of minorities and
women living in these upscale households continues to increase.
Report further concludes that Radio has emerged as one of
the most effective media serving today's affluent consumers.
Not only do affluent consumers spend more time with Radio
than with any other medium, but it is also one of the few
media with the ability to accompany affluent consumers throughout
their busy days. Percent increase in Number of $100,000 plus
Households Headed by the Following Persons, 1991-2000:
77% total
1534% African-American
126% Hispanic
197% Female Householders

Why is Radio so effective?
Twenty-percent of the 4,398 people surveyed by GartnerG2
spend less or much less time with television and newspaper
than they used to before the onset of the Internet and nearly
15% read magazines less. And, it's not just the ad-supported
media that's suffering. About a third of those surveyed also
said they placed fewer long-distance telephone calls. About
18% said they see fewer movies. Lastly, more than half of
consumers said they use snail mail less than they had before
the Internet. Radio however, remains a companion to Internet
users and the main out-of-home medium. As more and more Americans
are home less and less, Radio becomes the most possible way
to approach potential consumers. (As reported by SCBA on
their website, www.sbca.com, Spring 2003)

How do I create an ad?
There are a number of options leaving you in control of your
marketing and advertising budget. Though you are limited
to good taste and Christian ethics in the presentation of
the ad, you have many creative options:
Live copy read - You can opt to have Pamela Christian read
your ad live, drawing on the audience's faith in her as she
promotes your business. You can provide her with copy or
inquire of her to create copy for you.
Recorded ad - You can have Pamela record an ad for you; you
can have a greater known personality provide you with the
voice over; you can be interviewed using your own voice;
you can hire actors and/or a professional advertising agency
to create your ad. You can use voice only, include music,
or create a comedic or dramatic presentation.
We can refer you to a studio to record your ad, and can even
put you in contact with creative and promotion professionals
to assist you. It's your choice.
